Water Main Repair in Section of West Courtenay

Update 2:00 pm: Water repairs in the area between 5th & 7th Streets, Kilpatrick & McPhee Avenues are completed, and the water has been turned back on. If you are in the affected area, you may experience turbidity. If this happens, please run your cold water taps (while remaining at home) for approximately 20 minutes. This should resolve the issue, but if not, please call City of Courtenay Public Works at 250-338-1525. Thank you.

Update 1:00 pm: The water main has been shut down in the area between 5th & 7th Streets, Kilpatrick & McPhee Avenues. They now estimate the length of the water service disruption to be approximately one hour.

11:30 am: City crews are dealing with an emergency water repair in the area between 5th & 7th Streets, Kilpatrick & McPhee Avenues. The water main has been throttled down for now, but they will need to shut the water main down fully within the next hour. We are very sorry for the short notice.

They expect the water will be off for approximately 3 to 4 hours.
