Water Service Interruption - Stewart Ave

Update 1:30 pm: water service has been restored to the Stewart Avenue area. If you live on Stewart Avenue between 10th & Cumberland Road and notice turbidity in your water, please run your cold water taps for around 20 minutes (while remaining at home). If you still have issues with turbidity after 20 minutes, please call Public Works at 250-338-1525. Thank you.

Wednesday, October 14
A water outage today (Wednesday October 14) will affect residents on Stewart Avenue between 10th Street and Cumberland Road (including 12th Street). Residents were notified yesterday by the contractor. The water outage will be from approximately 10:00 am to 3:00 pm.

Update 2:20 pm: Water service has been restored, and crews are now flushing the water main. If you live in the Urquhart/Stewart area and notice turbidity in your water, please run your cold water taps for around 20 minutes (while remaining at home). If you still have issues with turbidity after 20 minutes, please call Public Works at 250-338-1525. Thank you.
11:00 am: A water shut-down has occured as of 10:45 am Tuesday October 13 in the area between Urquhart and Stewart Avenues, and 10th and 14th Street (including 12th Street). We are sorry for the lack of notice. The contractor is in the process of advising as many area residents as possible. The water will be off for approximately 4 hours.
