Courtenay Canada Day Celebrations Coming Soon
June 10, 2022
Courtenay Canada Day celebrations in and around Lewis Park and Downtown Courtenay are just around the corner.
The Canada Day organizing team has been hard at work preparing free and fun events for June 30th and July 1st.
On June 30 the Night Before Concert features Juno award winner George Leach with original songwriting and Ten Souljers, Vancouver’s favorite dance band.
On July 1st, some of the great events happening include the Kin Club’s free pancake breakfast, the 5th Street Mile (CV Roadrunners), the parade down 5th Street, the Kids Zone in Simms Park, Canada Day birthday cake, the Evergreen Tea Dance and the Kids Bike Draw.
Performances throughout the day on July 1st include the Comox Valley Concert Band, Under the Covers (Brodie Dawson, Jenn Forsland and Tracy Lee Canil), Alan Jossul, Hip Replacements (Tragically Hip Cover Band), Gordie & Friends at the Courtenay Legion, Dolyna Ukrainian Dancers, Japanese Drummers and our headliner, four time Juno award winner Fred Penner.
Parade and vendor applications are still being accepted. Vendors, come and sell at the biggest party in Courtenay with about 10,000 people expected to attend.
Check out our CANADA DAY WEBPAGE for a full schedule of events, parade and vendor applications and details.
This event has been made possible thanks to the support of the Government of Canada and the province of British Columbia.
