Transit & Road Closures

Free Transit: 

Comox Valley Transit is offering FREE bus travel on Canada Day. Ride the bus to the festivities! Learn more on the BC Transit Canada Day page.

Road Closures:

• 9:00 am to 12:30 pm: Road closures for Canada Day Parade route:  5^th Street from Willemar Avenue, through downtown and across the 5^th Street Bridge and continuing along the Old Island Highway in front of the Lewis Centre to Ryan Road
  
  
• 12:30 pm to 4:30 pm: Road closures for Canada Day event: 5th Street from Cliffe Avenue to Comox Road will continue to be closed for afternoon events at Lewis Park
  

Vehicles will need to detour around the parade and celebration route, and will not be able to cross 5th Street within the closure area. Plan an alternate route and leave extra time to compensate for heavier traffic on the 17th Street Bridge. We thank you for your cooperation and patience.
