Reporting to the Manager of Legislative Services (Corporate Officer), the Records & Privacy Program Administrator ensures compliance with privacy legislation and optimizes records management within the organization. They will lead the implementation of an Electronic Records Management System (ERMS) and, through a change management approach, prepare departments for records migration, develop training programs, and track compliance metrics.
The Successful Candidate Will Have:
- A degree or diploma in Information Management, Records Management, Public Administration, or a related field.
- Six to eight (6-8) years of relevant experience in privacy management, records management, and familiarity with FOIPPA regulations
- Project management and program implementation experience
- Certifications in privacy or records management (e.g., Certified Information Privacy Professional, Certified Records Manager) are preferred
- In-depth knowledge of FOIPPA, privacy legislation, and records management best practices.
- Strong analytical and investigative skills to effectively assess and address privacy incidents.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage tactfully with the public and build working relationships with staff at all levels.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and records management software.
- Strong change management skills to facilitate the adoption of new systems and processes.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet strict deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
This is a full-time position; start date to be determined. Salary: $83,315 to $94,676 (Pay Band 4).
The Records & Privacy Program Administrator will work in an office setting, collaborating closely with City staff. This role requires strict confidentiality, professionalism, and adherence to City policies and collective agreements.
