City Crews Repainting Downtown Parking Lines
June 13, 2014
Starting Sunday, June 15, 2014 at midnight, the City will be working overnight in downtown Courtenay. From midnight until 8:30 am, crews will be repainting lines in a number of city parking lots and street parking areas. The work is expected to be completed by Friday, June 20, weather permitting.
Parking lots being painted will include, but are not limited to:
- Florence Filberg Centre - upper and lower parking lots
- Lewis Centre
- Simms Millennium Park
- City Hall
- 4th and Duncan
Street parking line painting will take place throughout the downtown core.
The work is being done overnight to minimize the number of vehicles in the area, and ensure downtown parking areas are fully accessible during daytime and evening hours for downtown shops, restaurants and cultural facilities.
The work will generate some noise. The City apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause.
