Latest News on Water from CVRD
February 6, 2015
Update 4:30 pm from the Comox Valley Regional District:
Update on turbidity management plan after heavy rainfall. The CVRD has opened the intake to the reservoirs and we have now returned to normal operation. Thank you for doing your part to conserve water.
Previously:
"Due to heavy rainfall last night, the CVRD proactively began its turbidity management plan that consists of shutting down the reservoir intakes and feeding the system from the available water in the reservoirs. At this time, it’s critical to conserve water so that we can keep the intakes shut down for a longer period of time, allowing turbidity levels to drop in the source water. At this time, a boil water advisory is not in effect.
Any changes and updates will be posted to our website, www.comoxvalleyrd.ca/boil "
