Island Health has advised that the Beach Advisory for Puntledge Park beach and Stotan Falls has been LIFTED as of Monday morning, August 22. Their website will be updated later today with this information: http://www.viha.ca/mho/recreation/beach_reports.htm

Island Health has issued a Beach Advisory for Puntledge Park beach. An advisory was also issued for Stotan Falls (outside the City of Courtenay). Please avoid swimming in these areas until further notice. Island Health has posted signage at Puntledge Park & Stotan Falls to inform visitors.
- Bacterial counts in the water exceeds acceptable limits
- Swimming or wading is not recommended
Additional sampling has occurred, and results will start to come back on Friday.
