Statement from Acting Mayor Erik Eriksson:

“I will be giving a ‘thumbs up’ to any snow removal operators I see, and I encourage Comox Valley residents to do the same. Let’s show these hard-working men and women that the community appreciates their efforts.

This has certainly been a challenging week for our City of Courtenay snow removal team, contractors, and support staff following these incredible snowstorms.

As Acting Mayor, I know I speak for all of Council when I say how proud I am of these crews. We are extremely grateful for their long hours under difficult conditions to make our roads safer for everyone.
