More Finishing Touches on 5th Street Early Next Week

Contractors will be adding some finishing touches to the 5th Street Complete Street project starting Monday December 3rd, with work expected to continue for two or three days. Work will be scheduled outside of peak travel times.

During this work, crews will be adding road markings and green paint identifying cycling routes through the 5th Street and Harmston Avenue intersection and other side streets, plus bike symbols and other markings throughout the corridor.

Please anticipate minor delays while the paint is drying, obey all traffic control personnel, and drive carefully around crews. Thank you.

100 percent of eligible expenses up to $3.253 million for the 5th Street Complete Street project are funded by the federal Gas Tax Fund, under the Strategic Priorities - Local Roads, Bridges, and Active Transportation.
