Road Marking Painting Overnight This Week

Commuters, please watch for crews painting road markings overnight starting tonight and continuing for the next 3-4 nights, weather permitting. During this week’s work, contractors will be working with special thermoplastic paint, which is used for markings such as crosswalks, stop bars, and arrows.

There should be minimal disruption to commuters as a result of this work. The traveling public is asked slow down around work zones.

You may recall that city-wide line painting on roads had been scheduled for May 22 to 25. This work had to be postponed due to a province-wide shortage of yellow road paint! New dates for this work will be announced as soon as the work can be rescheduled with the contractor.
