Water Leak Repair on Island Highway South

Update:

Water service in the area around Island Highway South between Beachwood Road and Fraser Road has been restored and crews are flushing the water lines. Area residents may experience turbidity; if this occurs, please run your cold water taps for approximately twenty (20) minutes, while remaining at home. This should resolve the issue. If turbidity continues after 20 minutes, please call City of Courtenay Public Works at 250-338-1525.

Island Highway South between Beachwood Road and Fraser Road has been reduced to single-lane alternating today, Thursday, September 13, 2018, until approximately 4:00 pm, for an emergency water leak repair. Crews are on site, and water service in the area has been affected. We will post updates when available. Please obey traffic control personnel and drive carefully around crews. Thank you.
