Outstanding 2019 Property Taxes and Home Owner Grants

The City of Courtenay recently issued letters to a number of property owners with unpaid taxes from 2019.

You may have outstanding taxes if:

• You have not yet claimed your 2019 Home Owner Grant
• You have not yet paid your 2019 property taxes, including utilities charges
• Your property tax payment was received by the City of Courtenay after the July 2, 2019 property tax deadline, resulting in a 10% penalty

To claim your Home Owner Grant visit www.courtenay.ca/ehog
Please note: it is not necessary to pay your taxes in order to claim your Home Owner Grant. Your Home Owner Grant application must be completed before December 31, 2019.
