2020 Property Taxes & COVID-19 Update

City of Courtenay 2020 property tax notices were mailed on May 27 and 28, 2020.
Notices should be arriving in mailboxes in the coming days. The City is advising property owners to review available options for property tax payment and home owner grants. City of Courtenay facilities remain closed to the public due to COVID-19.
Detailed payment options and a link to the electronic Home Owner Grant are available on the City of Courtenay website at www.courtenay.ca/tax . An information pamphlet is also included in the property tax envelope.
Property Tax Payment Options
There are several different ways to pay your property taxes, including online, telephone, and in-person banking through your financial institution; by mail to Courtenay City Hall, or through the mail slot at the City Hall main entrance.
A limited number of in-person appointments may be available for those who can't use other payment options.
COVID-19 Update
City of Courtenay facilities have been closed to the public since March 16, 2020. City staff are providing assistance by phone and email, and as many business operations as possible are continuing under the circumstances.
