Sewer Pipe Inspections in East Courtenay

As part of the City of Courtenay’s ongoing Asset Management program, a contractor will be conducting sewer pipe inspections the week of August 24, 2020 at various locations in a section of East Courtenay southwest of Ryan and Lerwick Roads.   

Sewer pipe inspections involve using a remote control camera to grade the condition of the underground sanitary and drainage pipes in order to prioritize utility renewal throughout the City.

Although every reasonable effort will be made to minimize the disruption to traffic, motorists should be prepared for minor delays. Roadways may be reduced to single lane alternating traffic flow directly adjacent to working crews with traffic control personnel on site. Commuters are asked to be patient, slow down, and obey all traffic control personnel.
