Courtenay Recreation Update: Children's Programs

Courtenay Recreation has received a few inquiries from patrons in recent days about the status of children’s programs in response to the most recent Public Health Orders.

At this time, there are several fun spring children’s programs running including Science Detectives, Mixed Media Mediums, Drawing & Painting Fun, Family Art Night, Parent Tot Paint Party, Homeschooler Rec, Golf, Girls Get Active and more. These programs have been carefully designed to meet public health and safety protocols, and are focused on individual skill development rather than group activities. The safety of our participants and staff is our top priority. Based on the most recent update to the Public Health Order, masks are required for all participants ages 12 & over. If unable to wear a mask they will be required to maintain a 3m distance from other participants/staff Also, as recommended by Island Health Authority we are strongly recommending masks for children 9 -12 years in all of our programs.
