Courtenay Seeking Input on Bylaw Services

Do you have feedback and ideas for bylaw services in the City of Courtenay?

The City is launching a Bylaw Compliance Strategy and Service Delivery Project that will identify potential areas for improvement and determine how bylaw services can best meet the needs of the community.  

Visit www.courtenay.ca/BylawStrategy for more information on the project and a link to a short online survey, and provide feedback by July 25, 2023.

“Supporting bylaw compliance efforts is one of the City’s top priorities,” said Acting Mayor Melanie McCollum. “In recent years we’ve added bylaw enforcement officers and invested significant resources into this division, supporting work ranging from routine inquiries to major bylaw investigations. As we plan for the future, we’re asking our community for input. We want to know what’s working, and where we could improve, so we can identify priorities for bylaw compliance that will help the City meet the expectations of Courtenay’s residents and businesses.”

The survey will take about five minutes to complete. Feedback gathered through the survey will directly influence decision-making, priorities, and budgets.

The community is also invited to meet members of the City’s bylaw enforcement team and project consultants at pop-up booths around the community:
