Gnarly Little Christmas Craft Fair
Visit the biggest community youth craft fair in the Valley!
Courtenay Recreation is hosting the Gnarly Little Christmas Craft Fair at the Florence Filberg Centre on Saturday, December 7, 9:30 a.m. -1:30 p.m.
Every year the craft fair showcases talented youth aged 9-19 years. Over 60 vendors will be selling their wares, including baking, art, crafts, fibre arts, jewellery, woodwork and more.
“We’re delighted to provide a space where young crafters can display their talents, and where the community can celebrate their hard work and creativity,” says Alexis Forbes, Children and Youth Programming Supervisor for Courtenay Recreation. “We have many repeat crafters and it’s wonderful to see them improving their skills each year. We hope everyone will join us in supporting our youth while finding a one-of-a-kind Christmas gift.”
The fair will be held in the upstairs Conference Hall at the Florence Filberg Centre. Across the parking lot, at the Lower Native Sons Hall, children 9 years and under accompanied by an adult are welcome to join in the fun at our annual Children’s Christmas Party, 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Activities on offer throughout the event include photos with Santa (please bring your own camera), a Christmas sing-a-long, a special ukulele performance by the Evergreen Seniors, crafts, games and letter-making to Santa.
Admission to both the craft fair and party is free with a non-perishable donation to the food bank.
The Florence Filberg Centre is located at 411 Anderton Ave, Courtenay. For more information, please call Courtenay Recreation at 250-338-5371 or 250-338-1000.
