Simms Concert Series - The Valley Cats
The free Simms Park summer concert series features the Valley Cats, a local jazz/R&B/alternative music ensemble, on Sunday, August 11 at 7 p.m.
The Valley Cats features seasoned players and fabulous vocals. They will perform their own variations of popular songs with some original pieces. The band consists of local musicians including vocalist Charity Munro, Mike Eddy on piano, Grahame Edwards on bass and Mike Berman on drums. Claudio Fantinato, on saxophone and Paul Nuez on trombone will be joining for the Simms performance.
Simms Millennium Park is located by the 5th Street Bridge and across from Lewis Park. Please bring your own lawn chair or blanket.
Other featured Simms Park performances on Sundays at 7 p.m. include Time Well Wasted on August 18 and the final concert with Stealing Dan on August 25. A Food Bank Drive will also be included as part of the August 25 concert.
