The Comox Valley’s premiere Haunted House experience is returning to the LINC Youth Centre in Courtenay—with a Haunted Holiday theme! Will you survive the horrors of this haunted winter wonderland, or will you end up on Santa’s naughty list—forever?

Hours

Thursday, October 24: 6–8 p.m.
Friday, October 25: 6–9 p.m.
Saturday, October 26: 6–9 p.m.
Sunday, October 27 & Monday, October 28: closed
Tuesday, October 29: 6–8 p.m.
Wednesday, October 30: 6–8 p.m.
Thursday, October 31: 6–8 p.m. (Half the Fright Night for younger children and those who are more easily frightened)

Admission is $2 per person or $5 per family.

The Haunted House is organized by youth aged 8–18 years in the LINC’s Ghoul School with support from staff. Over 15 local youth have been busy since September preparing for the event. They chose the theme, made the sets and props, and are preparing to play characters in the Haunted House. 

Kelsey Smith, Community Youth Development Supervisor at the LINC, promises extra-spooky yuletide scenes. “Our enthusiastic ghouls have been working hard to create scary snow-covered halls filled with ghostly carolers, sinister snowmen and Santa’s twisted elves. Many ghouls return year after year, but we also have some new faces this year throwing their ideas and creativity into the mix,” says Smith. 

Although it takes just five minutes to explore the Haunted House, wait times can vary. Visitors are encouraged to enjoy the LINC while waiting by playing games—the Centre has ping pong, air hockey, pool and ping pong, to name a few—and feasting on Halloween treats from the concession. The youth appreciate your patience and hope their performance will be worth the wait!

When you arrive:

  • Please sign in at the concession
  • Your name will be put on a list and we will call you when it is almost your turn to come through the Haunted House
  • You may be paired with another small group
  • We will try to get you in as quickly as possible

Other considerations:

  • Actors may need breaks
  • Props may break
  • Some groups may take longer to go through

Your patience during these situations is much appreciated!

When you go through the Haunted House, please:

  • No photos or videos – professional photos that have consent will be shared on our social media channels
  • Do not touch the props or actors; they will not touch you
