Home Heating Rebates

Keeping your home warm without burning wood will improve air quality inside and outside of your home. Even the highest standard of wood stove used with the best practices releases much more fine particulate matter than all other heating sources (see graphic below).

Rebates

Rebates for replacing wood-burning appliances are offered by a number of agencies including Clean BC, BC Hydro and Fortis BC. One or more of these rebates may be suitable for you and your home. Rebates can be combined, saving thousands on home energy upgrades, or the installation of a new home heating appliance!

Home Energy Navigator Program

The City of Courtenay has partnered with the CVRD to help simplify the process to complete home energy upgrades. We have launched the new Home Energy Navigator program to support homeowners interested in completing home energy upgrades, and accessing rebates.

The Home Energy Navigator program provides support though the full energy upgrade process including virtual and one-on-one consultation, help with contractor selection, rebate information, regular check-ins and assistance as needed.
