After an extensive and coordinated community-wide effort across the Comox Valley, the City of Courtenay and regional partners have identified a location for a winter shelter for the 2025 winter season.

The property at 971 Cumberland Road is a City-owned property near the City’s Operations Centre.

The winter shelter will be operational for emergency overnight use as soon as upgrades at the proposed site are completed, likely by early 2025.
